Conditions for constructing and producing wind power, in particular, are exceptional in Ii Municipality as well as in the northern part of the Gulf of Bothnia on the whole.

The Bothnian Arc area - from Ii to the border of Lapland province - is by far Finland’s most windy region. Taming this natural resource for environmentally friendly production has been taken into account in the reinforcement of business prerequisites.

In addition to favorable natural conditions, Ii, as a part of the Oulu region, is an excellent operating environment for new investments.
