LocalFinland.fi is the Web site of the Association of Finnish Local and Regional Authorities.

The site gives you information about the role of local and regional authorities in Finland and about the services they offer.
 
There are 415 towns and cities in Finland. The annual budgets of all local and joint authorities put together exceed 31 billion euros. As many as 430,000 employees provide services for local residents.

Finnish local authorities enjoy a strong, self-governing status and have the right to levy taxes.

The Association of Finnish Local and Regional Authorities is made up of the towns and municipalities in Finland.

Our goal is to promote opportunities for local authorities to operate and co-operate, and to promote their vitality for the benefit of the residents.
